DIRECTIONS FROM BAKERSFIELD: Go East on Highway 58, towards Mojave. Take the left hand turn (exit) towards Caliente. Go straight (do not turn off) for about 5 miles until you get to a sign which has a Y on it, denoting a fork in the road. This is important because if you do not like mountain roads, you can go STRAIGHT/Bear Right onto Caliente Creek Road, for about 35-45 minutes, through Twin Oaks, through Perris Lorraine, past the Fire Station (on the right) where Caliente Creek Road becomes Walker Basin Road. Continue from the fire station straight on Walker Basin Road for about 6.3 miles until you dead end at JOHNS Road. Go RIGHT on JOHNS and take the first RIGHT onto WILLIAMS. About 500-1000 feet down Williams Road, on the right you will see a GATE. Enter through the gate, go down the driveway and you’ll see the house and the windmill behind it. Please contact (818) 731-6554 for Gate Code.
If you prefer a faster, scenic and mountainous right, at the Y, go LEFT onto Caliente Bodfish Road for about 9 miles, right onto Walker Basin Road for 2.7 miles, then at the dead end, go left (west) on Walker Basin Road which dead ends into Johns Road. Go north on Johns road and then Right/EAST on Williams about 500-1000 feet and you will see the gated entrance. Please contact (818) 731-6554 for Gate Code.
