Having lived in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years, with 25 of those years spent in the real estate business, James Hancock has acquired an extensive knowledge of the Los Angeles market. But James has always been in the real estate world, having grown up in a Lake Tahoe real estate family. James first came to Los Angeles to attend Pepperdine University, where he majored in Business Administration, and graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree.
Shortly thereafter, he obtained his California real estate license and acquired a position within the former Jon Douglas Company relocation division. James helped to relocate many clients all across the United States. His exceptional performance was both noticed and rewarded when he later was promoted into the Jon Douglas Company Estates Division, taking on both sales & marketing responsibilities. The acquisition and merger of the Jon Douglas Company and Coldwell Banker created one of the most successful real estate companies in Southern California. James found himself once again in an enviable position as he remained at Coldwell Banker’s flagship Beverly Hills office— ranked as the highest producing real estate office Internationally, for the past ten years.
In 2018, James closed over $50,000,000 in transactions representing Buyers and Sellers. He has been awarded Top 100 on several occasions in the past for the firms Westside, including 2018. He also has been at President’s Premier and Elite status as a top-producing agent within his office--the Tenth consecutive year that he received these distinctions. These awards represent the top 2% of associates across the United States. Specializing in the sale of single-family homes and condominiums, James assists both buyers and sellers on the Westside of Los Angeles. In addition, James’ expertise is often called upon to assist his colleagues in pricing properties in multiple areas on the Westside.
